Schon ist über ein Monat vergangenen seit dem 27th BCCM St. Moritz 2021. Der richtige Zeitpunkt, um Ihnen die Zeit bis zum nächsten BCCM mit den Fotos des Anlasses zu verkürzen.

Das 27th BCCM St. Moritz war eine besondere Ausgabe: Pandemiebedingt fand sie mit einem angepassten Programm und limitiert auf 100 Fahrzeuge statt. Für viele der teilnehmenden Crews war sie dennoch eine der schönsten Austragungen überhaupt. So konnte die ursprünglich geplante «The Italian Job Rallye» mit Grenzübertritt nach Italien zwar nicht durchgeführt werden. Die nicht minder spektakuläre Strecke über die drei Pässe Albula, Bernina und Maloja bis ins Bergell begeisterte aber ebenso. Speziell war dabei, dass sich die Teilnehmer immer wieder kreuzten und die Engadiner Strassen den ganzen Tag mit britischer Automobilkunst bereichert wurden.
Um ein grosses Zuschaueraufkommen zu umgehen, konnte der Concours d’Elégance am Sonntag nicht wie üblich in der St. Moritzer Fussgängerzone und auf der Via Serlas entlang des Badrutt’s Palace Hotels durchgeführt werden. Die Entscheidung, den Schönheitswettbewerb im Garten des Hotels Suvretta House auszutragen, erwies sich jedoch als goldrichtig. Teilnehmer und Gäste schätzten das gediegene Ambiente mit traumhafter Sicht auf die Engadiner Seenregion sehr. Auch fotografisch gab es noch nie gesehene Aufnahmen, die dank den zahlreich erschienen Medienleuten und unseren Medienpartnern in die Welt gingen.
Zum Veranstaltungs-Thema «The Italian Job» passten einige der anwesenden Autos hervorragend, allen voran die zahlreich erschienen Jaguar E-Types. Schliesslich spielte der Jaguar E-Type im Film bei der Fahrt des Gaunerteams von England nach Turin eine Rolle. Da passte es auch gut, dass ein spätes Modell im Concours geehrt wurde. Film-Hauptdarsteller Michael Caine fuhr einen Aston Martin DB4 Convertible und fast ein Schwestermodell, ein DB5 Convertible, kam beim Concours d’Elégance ebenfalls auf einen Ehrenplatz. Bleibt nur noch, Ihnen das Datum für das nächstjährige BCCM ans Herz zu legen: Das 28th BCCM St. Moritz findet vom 8. bis 10. Juli 2022 statt. Die Registrierung dafür öffnet am 1. Dezember 2021. Ach ja, fast hätten wir es vergessen, zum ersten Mal haben wir einen Film über den Anlass gedreht. Dieser ist nichts für schwache Nerven, schliesslich geht es darin um einen echten «Italian Job»!

More than a month has passed since the 27th BCCM St. Moritz 2021. High time for some photos of the event to slake your thirst for the next BCCM:

The 27th BCCM St. Moritz was a special edition. Due to the COVID pandemic, it was limited to 100 vehicles and took place with an adapted programme. Nevertheless, for many of those participating it was one of the most beautiful events ever. «The Italian Job rally» crossing over into Italy could not be held as originally planned. Instead, the no less spectacular route over the Albula, Bernina and Maloja passes to Bergell was just as inspiring. Not least because of a special feature: with participants crossing each other repeatedly, the Engadine roads were embellished with British automotive art throughout the day.
To avoid a large crowd of spectators, the Concours d'Elégance on Sunday was not held as usual in the St. Moritz pedestrian zone and along the Via Serlas next to Badrutt's Palace Hotel. However, the decision to hold this beauty contest in the Suvretta House Hotel garden proved to be spot on. Participants and guests alike greatly appreciated this dignified ambience with a dreamy panorama of the Engadine lake region. And photographically, some never-before-seen shots went out into the world thanks to our media partners as well as many other media people who attended.
Some of the cars participating perfectly matched our event theme «The Italian Job», especially the numerous Jaguar E-Types - like those driven in the film by a team of crooks from England to Turin. It was therefore fitting that a late model was honoured in the Concours d'Elégance. The film's leading actor Michael Caine drove an Aston Martin DB4 convertible, and almost a sister model, a DB5 convertible, also took pride of place in the Concours. It only remains to tell you the date for next year's BCCM: The 28th BCCM St. Moritz will take place from 8 to 10 July 2022. Registration opens on 1 December 2021. Oh yes, one more thing: for the first time we have made a film about the event. This one is not for the faint-hearted, after all, it's about a real "Italian Job"!
