| 28th BCCM St. Moritz 2022 – «The Grand Prix Edition» | | | | | | Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
Ab heute ist die Registrierung für das 28th British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz geöffnet. War das letztjährige Meeting dem Motto «The Italian Job» gewidmet, steht im nächsten Jahr wieder ein Film im Zentrum: «Grand Prix». Der Formel-1-Streifen von 1966 mit James Garner und Françoise Hardy ist ein Klassiker in der Automobilfilmszene. Nichts desto trotz: An der samstäglichen Rallye müssen wir uns wie gehabt an die Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen halten. Dafür wird vielleicht der eine oder andere Formel-Wagen während des Wochenendes zu sehen sein...
Zum Programm: Die grossartigen Feedbacks zur letzten Austragung haben das OK dazu bewogen, den am Sonntag (10. Juli 2022) stattfindenden Concours d'Elégance wieder auf dem prachtvollen Rasen des Hotels Suvretta House auszutragen. Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass wir den Concours nächsten Sommer für das Publikum öffnen können. Derweil verzeichnet die Concours-Jury einen Neuzugang: Wir freuen uns sehr, mit Ian Cameron einen weiteren ausgewiesenen Automobil-Experten in unseren Reihen zu haben. Ian war Chefdesigner von Rolls-Royce und ist als Juror an renommierten Automobilanlässen wie dem Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este tätig.
Wieder näher an St. Moritz Dorf rückt die Rallye von Samstag, 9. Juli 2022. So ist die Ankunft in der Fussgängerzone geplant – in nächster Nähe zu unseren weiteren Partnerhotels Badrutt's Palace Hotel, Schweizerhof und Hotel Hauser. Die «Grand Prix Rallye» führt von St. Moritz über Scuol und den Reschenpass ins Vinschgau nach Mals (Italien) und über den Ofenpass zurück ins Engadin. Damit steht die Strecke auf dem Programm auf die wir uns alle letztes Jahr gefreut haben, die aber aufgrund der Lage rund um Covid-19 nicht abgefahren werden konnte.

Starting today, registration for the 28th British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz is open. Following «The Italian Job» themed BCCM in 2021, next year's meeting is again named after a classic in the automotive film scene: «Grand Prix» starred James Garner and Françoise Hardy in the formula 1 world of 1966. While on Saturday's rally we'll have to stick to the speed limits as usual, one or the other formula car might well be seen during the weekend...
About the programme: your enthusiastic feedback from the last event has persuaded us to hold the Concours d'Elégance (Sunday 10 July 2022) again on the magnificent lawns of the Suvretta House hotel. We are confident that the Concours will be open to the public next summer. Meanwhile, the Concours jury has a new member: we are delighted to welcome Ian Cameron as another proven automotive expert in our ranks. Ian was chief designer at Rolls-Royce and is a judge at renowned automobile events such as the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
Moving closer to St. Moritz Dorf again, the rally on Saturday July 9, 2022 is scheduled to finish in the pedestrian zone - in close proximity to our other partner hotels Badrutt's Palace, Schweizerhof and Hauser. Our «Grand Prix» rally leads from St. Moritz via Scuol and the Reschen Pass through the Val Venosta to Mals (Italy) and via the Ofen Pass back to the Engadine. This route now includes what we were all looking forward to last year but was left out due to the Covid-19 situation.
